klavkarr: The Bluetooth car diagnostic scanner
To run an engine diagnostic, you’ll first need a diagnostic scanner to read any fault codes present in the engine control unit (ECU).
The scanner will detect issues such as a faulty catalytic converter, glow plugs, crankshaft sensor, and more.
Our klavkarr diagnostic scanners, fully developed and produced in Brittany, let you plug directly into your vehicle’s OBD2 diagnostic port.
For the same price as a single visit to your local mechanic for diagnostics, you can run unlimited scans with our klavkarr device! We recommend running a scan monthly to keep a close eye on your engine’s condition.
klavkarr scanners also support wireless diagnostics thanks to Bluetooth technology.
EOBD Facile: the diagnostic app
You might be wondering—connecting to the OBD2 port is one thing, but how do you actually run the diagnostic on your phone? How do you read the results?
When you purchase a klavkarr scanner, you also get access to our diagnostic software: EOBD Facile. It’s available on all platforms: Windows PC, MacBook, Android, and iPhone.
This app allows you to run diagnostics, read fault codes, monitor sensor performance, and run multiple tests on your vehicle.
Travelling abroad and need to run a car diagnostic? No worries—our EOBD-Facile app is available in 27 languages! Whether you’re in Sweden or Turkey, you’ll be able to communicate with local mechanics easily using our app.
How to run a car diagnostic via Bluetooth
Now that you have all the required equipment, let’s walk through how to run a Bluetooth diagnostic with both Android and iPhone devices.
Car diagnostic with an iPhone
First, we’ve created a video to help you run a car diagnostic via Bluetooth with your iPhone. You can watch it below!
Once you have all the required tools, go to your vehicle, plug your diagnostic scanner into the OBD2 port, and make sure the device is blinking—this means it’s connected to the engine control unit.
To connect your klavkarr scanner via Bluetooth to your iPhone, do NOT use the Bluetooth settings in your phone’s system preferences. Everything happens within our diagnostic app!
Go to Settings in the app, then under the Interface tab, select the KLAV110/KLAV210/KLV310 Bluetooth mode. Return to the app’s home screen and connect to your diagnostic scanner by tapping “Connect” and choosing either Engine ECU or Manufacturer ECU. Don’t worry—it only takes a couple of minutes, even if you’re new to it.
