With Euro 4 (2016) and then Euro 5 (2020) emissions standards, Ducati motorcycles gained on-board diagnostics: the ECU monitors electronic fuel injection, the oxygen sensor and engine sensors. When a fault is detected, the engine management warning light comes on and a code is stored.
