Which diagnostic tool features are we comparing?
In our opinion, there are 6 key points you need to pay attention to when purchasing a diagnostic tool.
Will the diagnostic tool work with your car?
You should know that not all cars can be connected to an OBD2 device. If you have a petrol vehicle, it must have been manufactured from 2001 onwards, and for diesel vehicles from 2004 onwards.
Will the device work with my computer or smartphone?
All generic ELM327 devices, which are all made in China and rebranded under different names: OBD Click, IE GEEK, Viecar, etc., will not necessarily work with your iPhone, Android, or computer.
Is the diagnostic app or software included?
Almost all OBD2 devices are not sold with software or an app for performing diagnostics. 99% of the time, you will need to purchase an app separately, except in the case of the OBDclick app for Android.
Quality
This point is crucial for performing reliable diagnostics and avoiding damage to your car. Chinese ELM327 devices and rebranded devices do not comply with CE standards and are not certified for use on cars.

Country of manufacture
The country where the OBD2 device is manufactured inevitably affects its quality. Only the klavkarr is made in France.
All others are imported from China.
